About this event
Dundee Africa Africa Research Network (DARN) of the University of Dundee and the International Centre for Policing and Security of the University of South Wales invite you all to a special Lecture to mark the United Nations International Day of Peace, titled: Promoting World Peace through A ‘Genuine’ World Order by Professor M.J. Balogun.

Prof Balogun was the Advisor of the immediate past President of the United Nations General Assembly and retired staff of the United Nations Headquarters in New York. He propounds the interest contiguity theory in international relations based on Sovereign Equality of States and functional United Nations system in promoting global peace, harmony and security for all. In his theory, a genuine and stable world order is only possible by respecting the Charter of the United Nations and recognising individual sovereign equality of states in the international system. As we mark this year’s International Day of Peace in times of global crises, we are pleased to invite Professor M. J. Balogun to share with us his many years of experience as an international diplomat, public service reformer and global affairs intellectual. He is the author of Headhunting for World Peace: An Insider View of UN Employment Law and Practices, and Hegemony and Sovereign Equality: Interest Contiguity Theory in International Relations.

Join us as we search for global peace and security in times of uncertainty.
